Target Patients

PRP can be used in most individuals and due to the autologus nature of PRP, the treatment is appropriate for minors with parental/guardian approval.

The following considerations can be utilized for target patients considering use of PRP:

[list_item]Cancer- especially hematopoietic or of bone[/list_item]

[list_item]HGB < 10 g/dl[/list_item]

[list_item]Consistent use of NSAIDs within 48 hours of procedure[/list_item]

[list_item]Corticosteroid injection at treatment site within 1 month[/list_item]

[list_item]Systemic use of corticosteroids within 2 weeks[/list_item]
